Info about Musical Shirts and CDs

Information about musical t-shirts and CDs went home yesterday or today. Please read the note that went home and send it back to school with your son/daughter as soon as possible! Email me or your classroom teacher if you need another copy of the note.

To recap what the note said---

-Everyone student will get a musical t-shirt to wear to the performance. The students will get to keep these t-shirts. To help us with the cost of these shirts, we are asking you to donate $5.

-Professional CD's of the musical are $6. These really help the students learn the songs; we can offer this price if we buy them in bulk. Please send in money with your forms soon if you would like a CD.

Let me know if you have questions!

Back to the Cross

The 2nd-4th graders have been working hard these last couple of weeks on a musical called "Back to the Cross.  In the musical, the main characters travel through time to learn how important it is to focus on the cross.  Here is a description of the musical from Word Music's website :

"Abandoned long ago and nearly forgotten, the H/O-2000 is discovered by the kids in our story while attending the annual VBS program at Midway Community Church. A series of time-traveling escapades ensue, taking our intrepid gang of time-jumpers on a wild ride, immersing them in strange times and cultures (including the totally tubular 1980s, the roaring ‘20s, the Wild, Wild West, and even the Garden of Gethsemane!), all leading to a point of discovery about the importance of the Cross and the message of the Gospel."

This musical has fun, catchy songs with a wonderful message that will ring in the hearts of the students for a long time.  We can't wait to share this musical with you on March 10 at Community Reformed Church at 7pm.  Mark it on your calendars and stay tuned for more information!
